Hello Mathy! This is my first PM in ABBUC. I hope you are doing great this summer. I am writing you because I would like to stay at the Schützenhaus, if still there is a mattress available (and a corner to place it). I think part of the charm of Fujiama is staying at the Schützenhaus (many might disagree), so I am planning to get some earplugs and I think I should be okay. Anyway, I would like to contact Helmut to ask about it and that is why I need your help. I don't know his nickname in the forums or a phone to send messages. I am planning to use a web translator so we can communicate. Last time Sascha helped me but know he looks super busy. If no mattress is available, I might consider purchasing a yoga mat, inflable little bed, or similar in Germany, since probably I won't have enough space to bring it with me. I'll see. Helmut's nickname is Fluffie0. I understand about wanting to sleep at or near the Schützenhaus. I've slept inside too. First year I was there I slept on the balcony above the kitchen. Nobody saw me and nobody had seen me come it (it was 5 in the morning IIRC). Since then I've slept inside only once. In my car I don't need earplugs. :-)
If you want to, I can translate for you. Or I can ask Helmut if I can send you his mail address. Or both.
BTW I've bought myself a self-inflating mattress years go, especially for meetings. Packed it's about as big as a rolled up sleeping bag. Maybe that would be an option for you to consider too?

Hi Mathy, Sorry for the late reply. I moved from one state to another (but really very close, less than an hour) and went on vacations out of town, and everything around me is still a mess. Thank you for your help, and your offer. I already sent a message to Helmut a few days ago. Let's see how it goes. Given my late request I will search other options as I am waiting for Helmut input.
